In and around Gdansk

One p-day we went to Sopot, which is a smaller city just north of Gdansk.  These two pictures were taken on the longest wooden pier in the world - 1/2 km.

That same day we went to Gdansk zoo.

At the Solidarity monument in Gdansk.

Gdansk railway station.

Gdynia is north of Gdansk and Sopot.  This is where we took the ferry to Hel.

Sorry about this one.  I rotated the original one, but this is how it posted here.
A lighthouse in Hel.

A view of Hel from the top of the lighthouse.

These three baby seagulls had their home on the roof of an apartment across the yard from our place.
They woke up and were fed every morning at 4:30.  Seagulls' "singing" is very loud and not beautiful at all.

This parade was during some sort of a catholic holiday.

That same day these little girls were getting ready for their first communion - I think.

This is Oliva Park a few kms up the road from our place.
We went there to a church for an organ concert.

This picture should have been with the ones of Hel.
Hel is a small resort town on a peninsula east of Gdynia/Sopot/Gdansk.
We like to say that "we were in Hel for the halibut"

Jim and I have enjoyed seeing all of the pictures, including the sights, the members, the missionaries, your chapel, etc. Thanks for posting these ... It feels like we are sharing your rich experiences. We are happy that you both seem to really enjoy where you are. More later, elh
